A piece of art in the gallery can sometimes be difficult to envisage in your own home or office, within your own personal surroundings.

Our solution is a 'Sleepover'.

If you are based in the Sydney metropolitan area a Sleepover, being a home trial, is a great opportunity to view a work or works of art that you are considering in the environment that they may eventually live in.

It provides the chance to view in the artificial light of night and the early morning and midday lights.

There is no obligation to purchase.

The work can be delivered at a time convenient and stay for one to two nights.

If the work is not suitable we collect at a convenient time.

If the work is to be purchased and you require traffic jam galleries to hang, free of charge, we will arrange a convenient time to do so. This can be during working hours or after hours.

Delivery and Hanging

A full delivery and hanging service provided within the Sydney Metropolitan area.

If you fall in love with a piece of art from traffic jam galleries we will be happy to deliver it to your home or office and hang or position it for you at no additional cost.

If it is a three dimensional work, we can arrange for prices of plinths in varying materials that may be required to accompany the work.

Worldwide Packing & Shipping

traffic jam galleries ships throughout Australia and worldwide.

We source a number of quotes for the client so as they may select which Shipper they would prefer to work with.

Packaging and crating is complimentary and not charged, unless a freight company for insurance purposes specify that they pack and prepare.

Commissioning of artworks – Corporate or Private
Our Artists can be commissioned to create artworks that meet the specific requirements of a client. There may be an instance where a work has sold and the client that missed out would like something that has a similar feel, subject or colouration. It will never replicate the initial work but will be a totally individual unique work carrying similar elements of the first sighted work.

Another scenario may be a work that is seen is not the format or size required and works can be commissioned to meet such criteria. It may simply be that a client has fallen in love with an Artist’s body of work and wish to commission a work just for themselves.

The prices charged for commissions do not incur a surcharge and are priced at what the Artist would charge for that particular size work when in general exhibition.

Payment Options

Cash, Credit Card and Direct Deposit are the most common forms of payment.

Credit Cards do not incur an additional Merchant Fee on top of the purchase price.

Lay By

A Lay by facility is available. Generally the payment period is between 3 and 6 months. There is no additional interest charge on lay bys.

We are happy to discuss terms longer than this, dependent on what and how many works are being purchased.

Certificate of Authenticity

When purchasing works of art from traffic jam galleries, accompanying the painting or sculpture will be the following:

• Invoice Certificate of Authenticity
• Information on the Artist such as CV, Biography
• If available, the Artist Statement
• Material from the Exhibition that the artwork is being purchased from

It is wise to keep all the paperwork together as these form your Provenance, proof that the work has been purchased by yourself and information that is relevant to identifying that particular work of art.

Keeping the paperwork safe, as well as the art, is an integral part of collecting.

Wedding Registry and Other Special Occasions
Special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, retirement or simply just spoiling yourself - we can assist in the selection and coordinate clients combining funds to purchase works of art.

Large Volume Artworks
traffic jam galleries is experienced in the preparation and installation of large volume artworks for hotels, apartments, offices and other commercial areas.

Unique Venue
The gallery is for hire for evenings if you are considering a unique venue to host an event. Contact us for more information.

Studio Visits
Arranged visits to Artists' Studios: there are a number of Artists who are happy to open their Studios to meet clients.

Artist’s Talks
During the exhibition program, our Artists will visit the gallery for openings and Saturday morning launches. They greatly enjoy talking and interacting with clients and visitors.

A majority of our Artists are based interstate and overseas, if there is a particular Artist you would like to meet, please contact the gallery and we can advise when they will be visiting.

The Artists are also available for prearranged group talks and lectures for private, corporate & school groups.
